Responsibilities

• Craft and deploy large-scale data ingestion systems within a Big Data framework
• Refine all phases of the data lifecycle, from initial planning and ingestion to final visualization and beyond
• Create and implement solutions for data extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, and distribution
• Develop tailored solutions/code to maximize the utilization of both new and existing data sources
• Collaborate with Sponsor development teams to enhance application performance
• Systematically organize and maintain documentation to ensure accessibility and usability for others
• Partner with colleagues, external service providers, vendors, and users to identify and create more efficient processes

Requirements

• High School Diploma with over 7 years of relevant experience in Information Technology
• Proven software development background, including substantial Java development, data analysis/parsing, and SQL/database proficiency
• Familiarity with the complete data lifecycle, from ingestion to presentation, in a Big Data setting
• Knowledge of Java-related technologies such as JDK, J2EE, EJB, JDBC, and/or Spring, along with experience in RESTful APIs
• Experience in developing and executing ETL processes in a Linux environment
• (Preferred) Exposure to technologies such as Hadoop, Hbase, and MapReduce
• (Preferred) Familiarity with Elasticsearch
• (Preferred) Experience with NiFi, Kafka, and Zookeeper
• Active/current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
