The Corporate and Leveraged Finance (CLF) business line is a leading international debt provider and ranks among the top players in the EMEA syndicated loan and bond league tables. CLF originates, structures and arranges debt financings for corporate and private‑equity clients, covering the entire rating spectrum and ranging from refinancings to event‑driven situations (e.g., spin‑offs, acquisitions). Through its rating and capital‑structure advisory franchise, CLF also advises clients on strategic financing matters, from capital‑structure optimisation to formal rating advisory.
Position
Experienced Analyst – Leveraged Finance (f/m/d)
Your Mission
Origination and execution of new Leveraged Buy‑Out deals for top international Private Equity clients as well as financings for corporate clients within the German CLF team.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution of marketing activities within the context of maintaining and extending business relationships, including preparation and production of pitch books in liaison with other business lines (DCM, ECM, GIB and DOD Distribution & Origination teams)
- Financial modelling, including cash‑flow analysis & financial projections
- Primary risk assessment (research), analysis of transactions (via Information Memoranda, due‑diligence reports, participation in management presentations, etc.), preparation of credit applications and their presentation in the respective credit committees
- Execution of financing transactions (structuring, negotiations, term‑sheets and legal documentation, support to syndication/sales team for distribution)
- Responsibility for the credit management of designated portfolio files
You will be fully integrated in the teams with a target to improve your technical and soft skills and gain in autonomy.
Skills, Experience, Qualifications, and Knowledge Required
- Graduate degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting or a related field (Masters / MBA / PhD / Doctorate or equivalent)
- Up to 2 years of experience working in a Leveraged, Acquisition or Corporate Financing department of a corporate and investment bank or relevant advisory firm
- Knowledge of private‑equity investments and corporate finance
- Strong analytical and practical financial modelling skills as well as credit and rating knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure on several transactions with different priorities and tight project deadlines
- Excellent language skills in German and English; further languages are a plus
- Team orientation, strong attitude, motivation and continued eagerness to progress
