(Expert/Senior) DevOps Engineer - Sovereign Cloud Delivery Germany (f/m/d)

SAP Deutschland SE & Co. KG is seeking an (Expert/Senior) DevOps Engineer for their Sovereign Cloud Delivery Germany team. This role is crucial for building new Sovereign Cloud regions and establishing a unified and competitive business in regulated industries. You will be responsible for the production cloud operations of multitenant solutions in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Operations: Design, implement, monitor, maintain, and optimize the SAP Sovereign Cloud system landscape for Germany.
• Set up a multi-system landscape architecture and integration aspects between heterogeneous system technologies.
• Provide on-call support for incidents and performance degradations.
• Continuously improve implementation documentation.
• Partner with the engineering team to design and enhance cloud operation processes.

Requirements

• Desire and ability to work independently on complex issues.
• Ability to collaborate efficiently with experts across different time zones to anticipate issues impacting customer success.
• Expertise with GitLab.
• Familiarity with Terraform and Ansible.
• Expertise with Linux, SUSE.
• Experience with CI/CD.
• Experience with some of the following: Kubernetes, Helm, Python, BASH scripting.
• Experience with hyperscaler services.
• Experience with Cloud Computing and Databases.
• Debugging/Troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle various projects, deadlines, and changing priorities.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call duties and flexibility to work in shifts is required.
• Commitment to maintaining daily office presence for efficient team collaboration.
• Willingness to undergo a governmental security clearance process.

Beneficial

• Experience with Hashicorp Vault, Argo CD, GitOps.
• Experience with building, implementing, and/or supporting multitenant solutions.
• Experience in cloud operations of at least one SAP solution (e.g., HCM, BTP, SAC, etc.) is optional.
