About the FP&A Team

The FP&A team plays a critical role in bringing Coinbase’s strategic goals to fruition, turning our daring mission into a sustainable financial strategy. We ensure effective resource allocation, providing insights that propel our growth and enhance the future of finance. We manage the financial roadmap, including the annual operating plan and forecasts, conducting thorough business reviews to drive efficiency and informed decision-making.

Corporate FP&A serves as the financial nucleus at Coinbase, empowering the FP&A organization by overseeing company-wide processes, managing core financial systems, and connecting FP&A with the broader Finance team. In this role, you will oversee essential financial rhythms and collaborate directly with leaders across critical functions to support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Core Processes: Manage monthly and quarterly close cycles from start to finish, coordinate team inputs, consolidate results, and translate outputs into actionable insights for finance leadership.
• Plan & Report: Assist in annual planning, quarterly forecasts, and monthly reporting. Ensure budgeting datasets are precise, timely, and ready for decision-making. Support executive financial reviews and contribute to Board materials.
• Strategic Partner: Serve as the primary finance liaison for core functions, collaborating closely with business leaders to guide budgeting, operating expense management, and overall financial performance.
• Streamline Processes: Identify opportunities for improvement within FP&A, utilizing automation and AI tools to boost efficiency and scalability.

What We Seek

• Experience: 2-4+ years in FP&A within corporate finance, strategic finance, or similar analytical roles with solid financial modeling skills.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting, forecasting, and data management.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and effectively communicate complex financial issues to leadership.
• Process Improvement: Experience in refining financial operations, particularly using modern systems, automation, or AI-enhanced workflows.
• Accountability: A proactive team player who takes responsibility, builds strong cross-functional relationships, and delivers results.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and an eagerness to leverage them in daily tasks to enhance efficiency and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Systems Knowledge: Proficient in financial systems like Anaplan or NetSuite, with the ability to navigate and resolve issues independently.
• Technical Proficiency: Capability of manipulating and analyzing data using SQL, as well as integrating AI tools into daily financial workflows.
• Interest in Industry: A genuine interest in cryptocurrency and understanding of the broader financial landscape.

Salary Information

The expected annual base salary for this position ranges from $108,630 to $127,800 USD. Total compensation may also include equity, bonuses, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
