Job Summary
A Float and Finance Analyst is tasked with providing tailored financial services to customers by aiding them with their daily banking needs, overseeing the opening and maintenance of accounts, and recommending relevant products and services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development:
- Efficiently establish a reliable schedule for SBA business growth in the industry, encompassing various aspects like:
- Structuring phone communications and monitoring follow-through
- Client retention calls
- New client prospecting
- Engaging in telephone communication to make connections
- Networking events
- Cultivate and broaden an established network of influential individuals within the community and business sectors to drive referral opportunities
- Tasked with managing sales responsibilities, analyzing credit, structuring loans appropriately, preparing and submitting SBA loan paperwork, conducting client assessments, and evaluating character traits
- Cultivate and nurture new business relationships to propel growth and success
Credit Acumen:
- Shows expertise in navigating business credit options, understanding:
- Creating tailored terms and merchandise based on the demands of the business, lifespan of assets, and strategy for advancement
- Analyzing business and personal financial documents along with tax records is essential for evaluating creditworthiness and risk
- Assessing credit needs in the short and long term through an analysis of business sales cycles and growth projections
- Educates aspiring clients about the bank's criteria for loan approval, SBA initiatives, and relevant regulatory standards
- Assists attorneys, loan closers, and internal staff in coordinating activities to ensure loans are closed and funded promptly
- Handles the convergence of business needs and customer preferences while proactively managing potential risks
- Adheres to the values and standards prescribed in Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct
- Assists junior SBA lenders in navigating their roles and responsibilities effectively
- Ensures strict adherence to the bank's policies and procedures, specifically concerning BSA, AML, and OFAC mandates
- Screens loan applications and gathers necessary applicant details while upholding equitable lending criteria and ethical sales approaches
- Addresses customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating any unresolved issues to the appropriate personnel
Education and Experience
- Obtaining a high school diploma or its comparable equivalent is required
- Having completed a financial-related discipline in college is advantageous
- Preferably, candidates should possess over five years of direct experience in SBA lending
- A minimum of a decade of experience in business development and/or financial services is necessary
- Proficient in communicating effectively through writing, speaking, and interpersonal interactions
- Ability in working with desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office tools
