Upway is the leading platform for buying and selling refurbished e-bikes across Europe and the US. We’re on a mission to make electric mobility accessible to everyone. We source bikes at scale, refurbish them with industrial precision, and provide a seamless, trustworthy experience for anyone purchasing an e-bike. Upway is entering a new chapter: after our Series C, we’re assembling an A-class Product & Tech team. This role is for designers who want meaningful ownership and the chance to shape products used by thousands of retailers, operators, mechanics, and millions of consumers globally.

What you’ll work on

• Design experiences across supply (acquiring bikes), operations (refurbishing bikes), and e-commerce (selling bikes and beyond).
• Make Upway the fastest, most trusted way to sell an e-bike for individual sellers and B2B retailers.
• Design tools for operators and mechanics to improve workflows toward automation and smart hardware.
• Contribute to a long-term vision of immersive product browsing, AI guidance, and a full ownership journey.

What you will do

• Run discovery and lead user research across diverse user groups.
• Visit UpCenters, shadow operators, and observe customers.
• Turn insights into testable prototypes and clear product directions.
• Deliver production-ready, pixel-perfect designs with craft excellence.
• Leverage AI to rapidly prototype and ship front-end changes when appropriate.
• Shape and evolve design systems for B2B, B2C, and internal products.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to solve complex problems and co-shape solutions.
• Contribute to Upway’s long-term vision and product roadmap.

Your profile

• 5+ years of product design experience in complex, high-growth environments.
• Experience working in fast-moving, ambiguous settings.
• Craft excellence in design systems and pixel-perfect designs.
• Customer obsession with empathy for diverse user groups.
• Strong ownership, intensity, and conviction.
• Ability to move fast with pragmatism and leverage AI tools.

Practical details

• Location: Paris, France (Product & Tech team based here)
• Team: 4 Product Managers, 1 Junior Product Designer, 20 Software Engineers
• Compensation: Competitive base salary + equity (stock options), based on experience
• Relocation: Visa sponsorship + relocation support for international candidates
• Office: English-first environment; French not required
