Freelance Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Data Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team working on scalable products for global enterprise clients.

This role is ideal for professionals currently working in a 100% REMOTE setup and looking to take up a long-term freelance or part-time engagement alongside their primary role with competitive compensation and meaningful additional income.

Our 750+ strong engineering team delivers high-impact solutions across Product and Data Engineering, with deep expertise in Agentic AI, GenAI, RPA, and Full-stack development.

Core Engineering (Must-Haves) • Strong proficiency in Python — clean, modular, production-grade code • Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization • Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes for deployment & orchestration • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (no manual console management) Data Stack & Pipeline Expertise • Expert-level experience with Apache Airflow and/or Dagster • Strong proficiency in dbt for transformation workflows • Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) • Exposure to streaming and SaaS ingestion tools such as Kafka , Fivetran , etc. • Must have shipped at least two complex data pipelines to production AI-Ready Data Architecture • Experience processing unstructured data (text, documents, logs) • Hands-on work with LLM data preparation: • Chunking strategies • Embedding pipelines • Retrieval optimization Modern Databases • Experience with Vector Databases (Pinecone, Milvus, pgvector, etc.) • Understanding of Graph Databases (Neo4j) and Graph-based retrieval (GraphRAG concepts) • Strong understanding of: • Data Lakes vs Warehouses vs RDBMS • Normalization strategies • Indexing & search optimization
