What will you do?

  • Develop GenAI solutions used in live customer interactions 24/7, helping customers get the right products and services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business problems and requirements.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to assess data quality and uncover insights.
  • Engineer features creatively, combining new data sources with traditional warehouses and data lakes to boost model performance.
  • Execute experiments, log metrics, parameters, and metadata in a model registry for reproducibility.
  • Deploy models into production and work with engineers to meet company‑wide standards.
  • Continuously monitor, retrain, and improve models with new features.
  • Drive cloud‑native data science development: build new solutions in cloud environments and migrate existing applications.
  • Translate data science requirements into architectural components and workflows.

About the team

The GenAI team within Big Data Engineering & Maintenance consists of researchers, data scientists, and ML engineers working closely with business stakeholders. The team is part of a larger Big Data program, collaborating with other data teams focused on predictive maintenance, supply chain, and maintenance planning optimization.

Core mission: improve Engineering & Maintenance processes using GenAI solutions. Example challenges include:

  • Helping engineers quickly find the correct document during an Aircraft‑on‑Ground situation.
  • Ensuring mechanics correctly fill in all information after engine repairs.
  • Verifying manufacturer‑suggested changes for relevance to our aircraft.

These solutions directly impact operations, creating opportunities to save costs, boost customer satisfaction, and increase revenue.

Your profile

You are:

  • Tech‑savvy with strong logic, math, and statistics skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, analytical, creative, and results‑oriented.
  • Skilled at explaining technical solutions in layman's terms.
  • Eager to learn and stay up to date on ML and GenAI technologies.

You bring:

  • A Master’s degree (or higher) in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Econometrics, or similar.
  • Experience writing production‑level Python code and applying software engineering principles.
  • Hands‑on experience with GenAI/LLMs and Graph Analysis.
  • Knowledge of MLOps processes, including deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
  • Familiarity with Big Data tools and cloud development (GCP is a plus).
  • Experience with external suppliers/partners and agile/scrum working methods.
  • Bonus: experience with Agentic AI, GraphRAG, and Engineering & Maintenance.
