About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, enhance, and troubleshoot data ingestion pipelines using GCP Dataflow and Dataproc for both batch and streaming workloads.
- Manage and maintain GCP Composer (Apache Airflow) environments including DAG development, scheduling, and issue resolution.
- Monitor and optimize Airflow performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Maintain and support GCP infrastructure including GCS, BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run.
- Manage IAM roles, service accounts, and secure access using Secret Manager.
- Monitor GCP usage, quotas, and proactively address performance or capacity issues.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using Cloud Monitoring and Logging tools.
- Design and develop database solutions with strong RDBMS and PL/SQL expertise.
- Develop and maintain Spring Boot APIs to support backend services.
- Build and manage Docker containers and create Dockerfiles for application deployment.
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for GCP resources.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and automation tools.
- Ensure cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization best practices are followed.
- Document system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including Dataflow, Dataproc, BigQuery, GCS, and Cloud Composer.
- Proficiency in Java or Python programming.
- Experience managing Apache Airflow environments and DAG workflows.
- Strong understanding of IAM, service accounts, and cloud security principles.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Experience with Docker and containerization.
- Strong database design skills with RDBMS and PL/SQL knowledge.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools in GCP.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Angular for frontend development.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Familiarity with DNS and SSO configuration.
- Experience with CDC (Change Data Capture) pipelines.
