GCP Data Platform Architect
Key Responsibilities
- GCP Architecture & Design: Architect scalable Medallion architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold) on Google Cloud. Design streaming and batch data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
- Client Management (PMP Focus): Act as the technical authority, managing customer requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with C-Level executives/business directors to translate KPIs into technical architectures.
- Migration & Transformation: Lead the migration of on-premise data (e.g., Teradata) to Google BigQuery, including schema redesign and ETL/ELT orchestration.
- Performance & Optimization: Optimize GCP resource costs and ensure data reliability, accuracy, and lineage (Audit Readiness).
- Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, drive technical whiteboarding sessions, and lead POCs/pilots.
Required Technical Expertise
- GCP Stack: BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage.
- Languages: Expert SQL and Python.
- Data Modeling: Expertise in data warehouse design (Kimball/Inmon).
- Cloud Governance: Experience with Data Catalog, IAM, and CI/CD (Cloud Build/Tekton).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Google Professional Data Engineer or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- PMP Certification: Highly valued for managing large-scale transformation projects and stakeholder expectations
