Select Feeds located in Polokwane, is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of business operations.

The General

Manager is the accountable leader responsible for the overall performance, sustainability, and growth of the business. The role ensures profitable operations, world-class production, high-quality products and services, and exceptional customer and employee satisfaction. • *1.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED** · Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior management role.

· Experience in feed, milling, agriculture, or complex value-chain operations (advantage).

· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (BSc Agric / BEng / BCom – Advantage).

· Strategic leadership and execution excellence

· Strong people management and change leadership

· Financial, budgeting, and commercial acumen

· Sales, marketing, and customer-focused mindset

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills

· Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email)

· Strong work ethic with high standards and attention to detail

· Valid Driver’s License

• *Strategic Leadership**

· Develop, implement, and execute short- and long-term strategic and business plans. · Identify internal and external risks and opportunities impacting the business.

· Drive alignment, accountability, and performance across all business units.

· Build and lead a competent, high-performing senior management team.

• *Operations & Production Excellence**

· Oversee integrated operations across the full value chain (Sales, Maintenance, Finance, HR, Technical). · Ensure world-class production planning, quality, food safety, biosecurity, stock control, and preventative maintenance.

· Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and best-practice systems.

• *People & Culture**

· Provide strong leadership that promotes high morale, teamwork, and performance. · Ensure compliance with labour, health, safety, and environmental legislation.

· Oversee recruitment, training, performance management, succession planning, and union relations.

• *Sales & Customer Service**

· Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to grow market share and margins. · Build long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

· Ensure exceptional customer service and consistent product quality and delivery.

• *Financial, Governance & Risk**

· Drive budgeting, cost control, profitability, and financial discipline. · Ensure compliance with corporate governance, legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
