Our client is excited to offer a fully remote Graduate Junior Data Scientist internship position, focusing on Machine Learning. You will work closely with senior data scientists and engineers on real‑world projects, contributing to the development and implementation of machine learning models. Your contributions will help drive data‑informed decision‑making across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of large datasets.
• Support the development and training of machine learning models using Python and relevant libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Implement and test various machine learning algorithms under the guidance of senior team members.
• Visualize data and model results using tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Tableau.
• Document code, methodologies, and findings clearly and concisely.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions.
• Assist in evaluating model performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Learn and apply best practices in data science, machine learning, and MLOps.
• Collaborate effectively with a remote team using project management and communication tools.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong foundational knowledge of statistics, probability, and machine learning concepts.
• Proficiency in Python programming and common data science libraries.
• Familiarity with SQL for data querying.
• Exposure to machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn) is a strong plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and be a proactive member of a remote team.
