Head of AI Engineering

This role leads the strategy, development, and scaling of AI and emerging technologies across the organisation.

You will identify opportunities, build prototypes, and guide breakthrough solutions from concept to enterprise‑wide adoption.

Description Set and execute the enterprise strategy for Data, AI, shaping the long-term roadmap for the next decade.Build the full-stack AI environment - GPUs, lakehouse, MDM, SLMs, vector databases, MLOps, and proprietary domain models.Lead cross-functional delivery of AI, automation and advanced analytics across retail, supply chain, customer, finance, and digital commerce.Partner with leaders to identify high-value use cases, govern responsible AI, and drive measurable transformation.

Create and scale innovation engines, emerging tech pilots, AI/ML product teams, and enterprise-wide AI upskilling.

Profile 12 years' experience in Data, AI, machine learning, and emerging tech, with proven leadership running enterprise-scale AI programmes.End-to-end expertise across AI lifecycle management, MLOps, GenAI, retrieval systems, vector search, and domain-specific LLMs/SLMs.Demonstrated work in robotics, automation, or physical AI integration is a strong advantage.Experience building or selling AI products, patents, start-up exposure, or launching proprietary AI models.
