As Head of Data Platform Engineering, you are responsible for the Data Platform, the technical backbone for Analytics, Data Science / AI, and operational products.

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsibility: You are responsible for the strategic further development and operation of the infrastructure and tools for operational and analytical data.
• Strategy: You continuously develop our data strategy further against the backdrop of new technological possibilities and internal needs and coordinate it with the Enterprise Architecture and Tech Leadership.
• Architecture Governance: You make the directional decisions for our tool landscape (Databricks, Snowflake) with consistent consideration of 'Make vs. Buy' and 'Impact vs. Effort'.
• Operational Excellence: Furthermore, you ensure stable, secure platform operation (Data Governance, Compliance, Security) and establish standards and processes to guarantee scalable use of the data platform.
• Partner & Budget Management: You manage the platform budget as well as the selection and negotiation with external technology partners.
• Leadership: Finally, you lead and develop a team of experienced Data Engineers, thus creating the framework for efficient, decentralized development of data products.
