Role Overview

EVIO Private Limited is seeking a seasoned and visionary Director of Electrical Engineering – Data Centre Operations to lead and scale our Data Centre vertical. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for design excellence, project execution, profitability, team building, and business growth in Data Centre electrical turnkey projects.

The role demands strong techno-commercial understanding, deep industry relationships, and proven experience in delivering large-scale, mission-critical Data Centre projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Strategy

• Head the Data Centre Electrical Projects vertical and define long-term growth strategy. • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance team of design, execution, planning, and QA engineers. • Establish best-in-class engineering standards, design practices, and execution methodologies. 2. Design & Engineering Excellence • Oversee end-to-end electrical execution & design for Data Centers including: • HT/LT Systems • DG Sets & Fuel Systems • UPS Systems • Power Distribution (Bus Ducts, PDUs, RPPs) • Earthing & Lightning Protection • Redundancy architectures (Tier II / III / IV) • Lead value engineering and design optimization initiatives. 3. Project Execution & Delivery • Provide leadership oversight for execution of Data Centre projects from concept to commissioning. • Coordinate with project teams, clients, consultants, and OEMs to ensure on-time, cost-effective, and quality delivery . • Resolve complex technical and commercial challenges at site level. 4. Profit & Loss (P&L) Ownership • Own and manage P&L of the Data Centre Electrical department . • Control project costs, margins, cash flow, and billing cycles. • Support commercial negotiations, variations, claims, and risk management. 5. Business Development & Industry Networking • Leverage strong industry connections with: • Data Centre developers • Consultants • OEMs (UPS, DG, Switchgear, Bus Duct, BMS, etc.) • Colocation & Hyperscale players • Support management in pre-sales, technical presentations, and client negotiations . • Contribute to strategic bids, tenders, and partnerships. 6. Client Interface & Communication • Act as the senior technical and commercial face of EVIO for Data Centre clients. • Deliver high-impact technical presentations and design reviews . • Build long-term client relationships and repeat business opportunities. Key Skills & Competencies • Extensive experience in Data Centre Electrical Turnkey Projects • Strong command over electrical design, execution, and commissioning • Proven P&L management and departmental leadership • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution mindset • Ability to mentor teams and build scalable processes Ideal Candidate Profile • 25–30 years of experience in Electrical Engineering with significant Data Centre exposure • Previously held leadership roles such as Project Head / Business Head – Data Centers • Strong professional network within the Data Centre ecosystem • Willingness to travel as per project and business needs
