Head of Program Management

About the role

• Set up the central PMO function, including governance frameworks, reporting structures, and standards across all programmes
• Act as the central authority on programme controls, risk management, and project assurance
• Design and implement consistent reporting tools and templates to track delivery, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Provide senior stakeholders with actionable insights and ensure programmes remain aligned to strategic objectives
• Challenge delivery leads where needed and escalate appropriately to maintain accountability

About you

• Strong background in PMO leadership, ideally within complex transformation environments
• Experience setting up governance from scratch in greenfield or rapidly evolving organisations
• Clear understanding of project controls, portfolio-level reporting, and assurance practices
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and holding programme leads accountable
• Able to balance pragmatism with structure - ensuring control without bureaucracy
