Platform Architect - Senior

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Platform or Cloud Architect
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes platform architecture
• Experience using Helm for application and platform deployments
• Hands-on experience with Istio or service mesh technologies
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPC/VNet, routing, load balancers, security controls)
• Experience driving DevOps and platform automation practices
• Ability to define platform standards, patterns, and best practices
• Experience guiding and mentoring engineering teams
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Ability to translate business needs into platform architecture
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Strong documentation and review skills

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure GCP)
• Exposure to GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux)
• Knowledge of observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
• Experience with platform security and policy tools
• Understanding of data platform basics (data ingestion, storage, analytics concepts)
• Cloud or Kubernetes-related certifications

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize cloud platform solutions to meet business needs
• Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters and related tooling
• Collaborate with engineering teams to establish platform standards and best practices
