About the role
Role: Senior Android Developer
Location: Toronto, Ontario "Hybrid (4 Days WFO)" Contract Duration: 6-12 months Introduction We are seeking a Senior Android Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong Android development experience, exposure to iOS development, and some familiarity with full stack technologies (MEAN stack and Java). Experience with Mass360 or similar mobile security frameworks is required, as you will help resolve security-related issues. You will work on building, maintaining, and enhancing mobile applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting backend integration.
Required Skills & Qualifications • 5 years of Android development (Kotlin/Java). • Experience with Android SDK, UI design, and best practices. • At least 1 year of iOS development (Swift/Objective-C) and a published app. • Familiarity with MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js). • Some experience with Java backend development. • Experience with Mass360 or other mobile security frameworks. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications • Experience with cross-platform frameworks (Flutter, React Native). • Exposure to CI/CD and automated testing. • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications. • Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver new features. • Contribute to iOS projects as needed. • Integrate with backend services using MEAN stack and Java. • Implement and resolve security requirements using Mass360 or similar frameworks. • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers. • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance. • Stay current with mobile, security, and backend technology trends.
