Passara Wellness Group is a rapidly growing South African day spa group focused on holistic healing and authentic Thai massage experiences.
Role Description
We’re seeking the services of a hands-on HR Manager who will work alongside our Group Spa Manager. The incumbent will lead human resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and compensation. They will foster a positive culture and ensure compliance with labour laws.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Selection
- Finding, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
Training & Development (Learning & Development)
- Enhancing employee skills and knowledge through programs, fostering career growth, and succession planning for future leaders.
Performance Management
- Setting goals, evaluating performance, providing feedback, and managing disciplinary actions to align individual performance with organizational objectives.
Compensation & Benefits
- Designing and managing salaries, wages, bonuses, health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks to attract and retain talent.
Employee Relations
- Building positive relationships, resolving conflicts, maintaining a safe environment, and fostering a healthy company culture.
Compliance & Legal
- Ensuring adherence to all labour laws, regulations, and internal policies to mitigate risk and maintain fairness.
HR Administration & Systems
- Managing HR data, records, payroll, technology (HRIS), and using data analytics to inform HR strategy and decisions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HR Manager in the Spa/Wellness industry.
Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of labour laws and HR best practices.
Skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
Software
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems).
