About

The Direktion für Arbeit des SECO is part of the federal competence center for labor market policy and supports the creation of official labor market statistics. We develop tools for efficient management and analysis of our extensive data and analytics applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead for requirement gathering from service and business process owners, deriving use case‑optimized data models.
• Lead engineering for piloting and rebuilding the new Data Analytics Platform.
• Lead in designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines.
• Responsible for data preparation processes and repositories, ensuring performance, reliability, and resource efficiency.
• Handle collection of data quality metrics, automate processes, and suggest improvements.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or comparable qualification (HF / Bachelor / Master) and ITIL certification. HERMES certification and multiple years of data engineering experience are a plus.
• IT knowledge in open‑source technologies and Apache projects.
• Independent work style, high responsibility, strong analytical and conceptual skills, assertiveness, network thinking, and high performance motivation.
• Excellent logical‑abstract analytical thinking and quick assimilation.
• Fluency in two official languages in speech and writing, plus good English skills.
