About
Join the FIA and contribute to safeguarding critical motorsport and mobility data. As an Information Security Engineer, you will play a central role in strengthening the organisation’s security posture and protecting the digital systems that support the world’s leading motoring organisations.
Working in a collaborative and fast‑paced environment, you will contribute through hands‑on security engineering, access management, threat detection, incident response, and security assessments across systems, applications, and infrastructure, while maintaining the highest levels of technical excellence.
Missions and Responsibilities
Security Engineering & Access Management
- Deploy, maintain, configure, and optimise security technologies used for threat detection, monitoring, network protection, and endpoint security.
- Manage user access controls, authentication mechanisms, and identity and access management solutions to ensure appropriate levels of access and privilege.
Threat Detection & Incident Management
- Coordinate and conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to identify and address security weaknesses proactively.
- Lead incident response efforts, develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
- Monitor security logs and alerts, investigate suspicious activities, and respond to security events in real time.
Governance & Advisory
- Develop and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard FIA’s digital assets.
- Act as the Information Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all FIA departments, ensuring security best practices are integrated into daily operations.
- Oversee the security of FIA’s IT infrastructure, cloud services, and networks, ensuring effective protection against cyber threats.
Profile
- University degree (Master’s) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on hands‑on security engineering and technical operations.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g. NIST, OWASP, ISO 27001).
- Strong experience in security technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection (EDR/XDR), WAF, IAM/PAM.
- Strong understanding of networking and cloud security principles (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Hands‑on expertise in incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential; proficiency in French is considered a significant advantage.
- This position is based at the FIA offices in London and may require occasional international travel.
