IT Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Project Manager to support a portfolio of software and application-based projects. This role is a backfill to support ongoing initiatives while a permanent Project Manager is dedicated to a long-term enterprise implementation. The ideal candidate is a seasoned PM with a strong background in Agile delivery, enterprise applications, and cloud-based projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple software and application-based IT projects from initiation through delivery
• Drive projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines
• Partner closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to define scope, requirements, risks, and dependencies
• Manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
• Oversee projects involving SAS and enterprise applications, including modernization and cloud migration initiatives
• Support initiatives involving legacy application conversion to the cloud
• Provide clear and consistent project status reporting to leadership and key stakeholders
• Ensure adherence to project governance, standards, and best practices
• Identify risks and issues early and implement mitigation strategies

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of IT Project Management experience, preferably in software environments
• Strong experience managing software/application development projects
• Proven experience working in Agile environments
• Hands-on experience with SAS or similar enterprise applications
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience

• Cloud project experience, particularly AWS
• Experience migrating legacy systems to cloud environments
• Hands-on experience working with ServiceNow
• Background supporting enterprise-scale IT initiatives
• Certifications (Strongly Preferred)
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) – strongly preferred
  • CBRM – Certified Business Relationship Manager
  • CBA – Certified Business Associate

Education

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• Relevant certifications are preferred over a degree

Contract Duration

• Through December 31, 2026, with potential for extension
