About
It is a digital experience engineer (DEX) role that combines skills in site reliability and telemetry engineering. An Engineer focusing on how quick and easy technology feels for the end user (customer, employee, etc) using organizational tools (apps, cloud services, sites, etc.). This connects IT infrastructure and user experience.
The role is to optimize system performance for a smooth experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and improve the day to day experience across tools like 365 and TEAMS, Intune
Qualifications
- The engineers' focus is on device performance, app reliability (teams freezing, outlook delays), login/authentication, network (VPN) Performance
- A strong DEX engineer measures user experience (this is the telemetry piece).
- They use telemetry tools to track boot times, app crashes, login delays.
- Some common tools they use are Microsoft Endpoint Analytics and Nexthink.
- Proactively fix issues by identifying patterns
- They automate improvements (using PowerShell scripts) to clean up devices, fix configs, etc.
- A DEX engineer may have experience with these tools: Nexthink, SysTrack, Aternity and RUM/DEM tools.
Project Details
- Length of the project: 12 months with possibility for extension.
- Location: Malvern, PA (Hybrid- 3 days a week onsite & must be willing to relocate and be onsite on day 1)
- Payrate: $60 / hr on C2C Max Rate
