Infrastructure Engineer – Microsoft Systems (m/w/d) - J26713

Overview

You will take responsibility for the stable operation and further development of our IT infrastructure and can contribute significantly in your area of expertise. You will work with server and virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM and ensure secure network connections via switches, VPNs, and firewalls. Through automation with PowerShell and similar scripting solutions, you will accelerate routine processes and increase availability. Your Tasks

• Plan and operate server and virtualization environments with a focus on availability and performance
• Manage and configure network components such as switches, VPN solutions, and firewalls
• Monitor and analyze system and network metrics using appropriate monitoring tools
• Automate recurring processes using PowerShell scripts and similar solutions
• Co-design and implement smaller IT projects in coordination with business units
• Document system landscapes, processes, and operating instructions
• Support internal users and coordinate with external service providers

Your Profile

• Completed IT training, a computer science-related degree, or comparable practical experience
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft server environments and experience with virtualization techniques
• Experience in administering network elements and security components
• Initial practical experience in automation with PowerShell or similar scripting languages
• Analytical working style, initiative, and enjoyment of solution-oriented work
• Strong communication skills and good German and English language skills
