Role

Complex infrastructures require professionals who do not wait for problems to arise – but prevent them before they occur. We are looking for an initiative personality who proactively supports and develops customer systems and brings projects to completion with a clear quality standard.

Responsibilities

• Independent support and further development of hybrid customer environments (on-premises & cloud) during ongoing operation
• Implementation and optimization of virtualization infrastructures based on Proxmox and VMware
• Planning and operation of robust backup and disaster recovery concepts with Veeam
• Administration and further development of Windows Server landscapes including Active Directory, DNS architecture, and application servers
• Independent management and coordination of infrastructure projects of varying complexity
• Technical consulting and guidance of customers at eye level – solution-oriented and understandable
• System analyses and structured optimization of existing infrastructures to increase efficiency and reliability

Qualifications

• Several years of practical experience as a System Engineer in the service provider environment with demonstrable project successes
• Very good knowledge of Windows Server infrastructures and their administration in complex environments
• In-depth experience with virtualization technologies (Proxmox, VMware) and modern high-availability concepts
• Confident handling of Veeam for backup, replication, and recovery
• Strong ability for independent customer management and project communication
• Experience with automation tools (PowerShell, script development) as a welcome plus
• Microsoft 365 know-how as well as basic Azure knowledge round off the profile ideally
