Infrastructure Lead
Cititec
About the role
About
I'm working exclusively with a well-capitalised, globally active fund to find an Infrastructure Lead for their Toronto office.
This is a newly created role with a clear and substantial remit. Following a period of significant growth through acquisition, the firm is operating with a number of separate infrastructure teams across different geographies and technology environments. This person will provide a single point of ownership and control across all of them.
The scope covers systems, networking, network security and storage across on-premises and AWS cloud environments, leading a distributed team of four to five initially, with a broader global footprint across the group.
What the role requires:
- Senior infrastructure leadership experience, with a track record across geographically distributed teams
- Strong technical grounding across systems, networking, network security and enterprise storage
- Solid exposure to both legacy on-premises environments and AWS
- A hands-on, ownership-oriented mindset, this is not a purely strategic or delegating role
- The ability to bring structure and cohesion to teams currently operating independently
Candidates from technology company backgrounds are of particular interest. Exposure to infrastructure supporting AI or data platform workloads is a plus, though not essential.
