Job Summary
As a Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with account teams to assess customer data center environments and design customized infrastructure solutions that align with their business goals. Your role will involve building technical relationships with OEMs, conducting training for sales teams and customers, managing the solution practice pipeline, and identifying technology opportunities across various spaces including Data Center, Cloud, Network, and Security.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with account teams to thoroughly evaluate customer data center environments and infrastructure technologies.
- Design and propose customized infrastructure solutions that meet customers' unique business objectives.
- Build and nurture technical relationships with OEMs and strategic partners, ensuring you remain informed about the latest product developments.
- Deliver product training and technical education to sales teams and customers.
- Serve as a trusted IT advisor for clients in partnership with Field Account Executives.
- Manage the solution practice pipeline by strategizing on top prospects and focusing on new business acquisition.
- Identify and explore technology opportunities in the Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, Collaboration, and Services sectors.
- Develop solutions tailored to fit customers' needs and budgets through strategic planning.
- Engage with various client contacts, including CIOs, IT Directors, and CTOs, to ensure a comprehensive approach to account management.
- Educate and enhance the sales team’s capabilities in technical selling, product knowledge, services, and emerging technology trends.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a relevant role.
- Willingness to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer Events.
- Advanced certification in technologies such as Dell Technologies, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, Nutanix strongly preferred.
The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $230,000, including base salary and bonuses. Compensation will vary based on experience, skills, and location. Benefits may include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending options.
