Infrastructure Technical Manager

The Infrastructure Technical Manager (ITM) is responsible for the technical integration, coordination, and oversight of all infrastructure and low‑voltage systems associated with the delivery of mission‑critical data centre projects. The role spans design, construction, and close‑out phases, ensuring that all infrastructure systems are fully integrated with the base build works, aligned to project milestones, and delivered safely, compliantly, and to the required quality standards. The ITM acts as the primary on‑site client representative for infrastructure integration, coordinating multiple internal stakeholders, specialist vendors, and the Principal Contractor to ensure seamless delivery through Early Access, Beneficial Use, and handover to Operations.

Role Overview

Responsible for the technical coordination and integration of all infrastructure and low-voltage systems (e.g. telecoms, networks, security) across data centre projects. Acts as the on-site client representative, ensuring systems are delivered, integrated, and handed over in line with project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate design, construction, and integration of infrastructure systems
• Manage telecoms, networks, security, AV, and related scopes
• Act as main interface between stakeholders, contractors, and vendors
• Oversee procurement, installation, and quality of infrastructure works
• Track progress, risks, and dependencies across multiple systems
• Support Early Access, Beneficial Use, and final handover to operations
• Ensure all documentation, testing, and integration requirements are completed

Requirements

• Strong experience in data centres or mission-critical projects
• Good knowledge of telecoms, networking, and low-voltage systems
• Experience managing complex stakeholders and multiple workstreams
• Strong coordination, planning, and reporting skills
• Understanding of construction, commissioning, and phased handover
