Your Daily Life

Located 20 minutes from the Paris-Saclay Technology Hub, the site is one of the largest centers of excellence for surface radars. We contribute to developing, designing, integrating, and testing air surveillance radars for detecting and identifying targets.

Within the Radar Embedded Processing competence center, you will join the Expertise section of the development service (DEL), responsible for delivering real-time Backend software for all Surface Radar air surveillance or multi-function radars.

The Backend software, the core of radar processing, consists of 3 processing chains:

• Command & Control: the interface between the operator and the system.
• Sequencing: ensures radar time, controlling the antenna for all emission modes.
• Detection chain: composed of signal processing and data processing.

You will specifically work on the radar sequencing software.

You will join a team of 8 experts with a strong spirit of mutual support and knowledge sharing. To support your skill development, you can count on the support of your peers, a progressive training program, and access to cutting-edge technical resources (test benches, simulators, documentation).

Your Missions

Software Development and Integration

• Develop and integrate software evolutions.
• Define and specify functional evolutions of the real-time sequencing module, in collaboration with systems and signal processing engineering.
• Update software specification, design, and test documents.
• Participate in C and Ada development for evolutions and bug fixes.
• Develop unit and integration tests to validate components under Linux environment.

Technical Problem Analysis and Resolution

• Analyze component logs and recordings to identify root causes of anomalies.
• Propose and develop fixes validated by the component managers involved.
• Participate in technical reviews to ensure the quality and robustness of solutions.

Support for Project and System Integration Teams

• Provide expert technical support to development and integration teams.
• Contribute to improving team performance through your feedback and innovative proposals.
• Estimate development efforts for backlog activities and prioritize tasks in collaboration with project managers.

Technological Watch and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the service's technological roadmap by identifying areas for improvement.
• Participate in innovation workshops to explore new solutions (e.g., optimizing sequencing algorithms).
• Capitalize on and share best practices within the Expertise section and with other teams.

Your Profile

Are you ambitious and eager to thrive in software-oriented missions and learn more about sequencing?

You have an engineering degree or equivalent (Bac+5) and:

• You are proficient in C, Ada, or C++ languages.
• You are familiar with Git, GitLab, and Jira tools.
• You are comfortable with the Linux operating system.
