Your daily life

Located 20 minutes from the Paris-Saclay Technology Hub, the site is one of the largest centers of excellence for surface radars. We contribute to developing, designing, integrating, and testing air surveillance radars for target detection and identification.

The SRA entity at Thales designs, develops, produces, sells, and supports a complete range of ground and naval radars for air surveillance and defense. Their applications range from civil to military activities.

This position is part of the creation of a new team currently being formed (3 people today; more in the coming months/years) for the development of a command & control software for our new radars.

Your missions

Within this organization, your missions will consist of:

  • Analyzing needs by participating in meetings with systems engineering to define use cases
  • Contributing to the development of specifications: writing requirements, designing unit elements, and backlog refinement
  • Programming the software, in accordance with the established design.
  • Performing tests: automating tests at different levels (unit, integration, functional verification, etc.), implementing the associated test environment (players, simulators, etc.), executing test campaigns, and analyzing results
  • Maintaining the continuous integration chain that allows for code compilation and static analysis, as well as the execution of regression tests
  • Investigating technical facts and resolving technical problems autonomously

Who are you?

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in development on embedded Linux systems
  • You have a good command of C and/or Rust languages and knowledge of MBD (Model-Based Design) via Stateflow, Simulink, or Matlab would be a plus
  • You master the writing and traceability of requirements and test sheets
  • You know how to design and deploy containerized solutions (Podman, Kubernetes, ...)
  • You are a curious, autonomous person with a strong desire to learn
  • You are committed to the quality of your work and adherence to processes
