Position Overview

Ingénieur·e principal·e en infrastructure (Hybride – Saint‑Laurent, QC)

• Présence requise : 3 jours/semaine au 7150, rue Alexander‑Fleming, Saint‑Laurent, QC
• Exigence linguistique : Maîtrise complète de l’anglais (oral et écrit) en raison d’une collaboration quotidienne avec des équipes au Canada et aux États‑Unis.

Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Hybrid – Saint‑Laurent, QC)

• Onsite Requirement : 3 days/week at 7150 Alexander Fleming Rue, Saint‑Laurent, QC
• Language Requirement : Must be fully fluent in English (spoken and written) due to daily collaboration with teams in both Canada and the USA.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong, hands‑on expertise across virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure, object storage, and identity management for infrastructure platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hybrid or air‑gapped environments and enjoys building, operating, and optimizing secure, self‑hosted systems. You will work closely with teams across Canada and the United States, making English fluency mandatory to ensure seamless communication on cross‑border projects.

Responsibilities / Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure de base / Core Infrastructure

• Deploy, operate, and maintain server virtualization environments, ensuring performance, resilience, and capacity planning.
• Lead implementation and lifecycle operations of Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI).
• Manage and optimize virtual compute platforms such as Proxmox, OpenStack, VMware, or equivalent.

Stockage et gestion d’identité / Storage & Identity

• Design, deploy, and operate object storage platforms (e.g., Ceph or equivalent).
• Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) for infrastructure platforms, including technologies such as OpenStack Keystone.

Automatisation, opérations et sécurité / Automation, Operations & Security

• Maintain strong security and hardening across virtual compute, storage, and identity layers.
• Implement standardization and automation using tools like Ansible or similar.
• Support observability, monitoring, backup, restore, and incident response workflows.

Réseautique et infrastructure physique / Networking & Physical Infrastructure

• Collaborate on network architectures (VLANs, routing, NAT) that support virtualized and HCI environments.
• (Optional) Support datacenter‑level tasks such as rack/stack, hardware lifecycle, and appliance configuration.

Requirements / Must‑Have (Minimum Requirements)

• Strong experience with server virtualization (deployment and operations).
• Hands‑on experience with Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI).
• Experience with object storage platforms (e.g., Ceph or equivalent).
• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) for infrastructure platforms (e.g., OpenStack Keystone).
• Experience managing virtual compute platforms (Proxmox, OpenStack, VMware, or similar).
• Full fluency in English, both written and spoken, to collaborate with teams in Canada and the USA.

Preferred Qualifications / Nice‑to‑Have (Excellent Fit if Combined With the Above)

• Strong experience with containerization and orchestration, including Kubernetes.
• Experience managing Kubernetes clusters using Rancher or similar.
• Hands‑on experience running stateful workloads in containers (PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.).
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications with Helm charts.
• Infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform.
• Experience operating real‑time or messaging systems (e.g., Centrifugo).

• Strong documentation and infrastructure design skills.
• Excellent collaboration across engineering, IT, and security teams.
• Highly hands‑on, proactive, and capable of driving initiatives with minimal supervision.
