Junior Data Scientist

Your Tasks

• Depending on your experience, you will work on various customer projects and get to know the broad application of data science as a newbie. As a Junior Data Scientist, you will initially support various projects and can increasingly take on more responsibility.
• You will make more of our customers' data: Using state-of-the-art statistical methods and machine learning approaches, you will find connections, develop automated solutions, and create predictions.
• You will create and manage ETL processes/data pipelines in Alteryx or KNIME for efficient data exchange between internal and external systems (REST APIs, PostgreSQL databases, etc.).
• You will create target group-oriented reporting solutions in Tableau and individual analyses (statistics, machine learning, AI solutions) for customer projects using Alteryx, Python (sklearn, TensorFlow, Keras, VowpalWabbit, etc.) or R.
• You will work closely with your colleagues from the Data Science team and be in direct contact with our customers.

What You Bring

• You are at the beginning of your career or already have professional experience.

• You have successfully completed your studies in Business Informatics, Data Science, Psychology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Empirical Social Sciences (e.g., with a focus on Data Science/Machine Learning, Statistics, Psychology, Sociology) or a comparable field with a focus on data analysis, or are about to do so.
• You have already gained initial experience with data models, databases, REST APIs, and machine learning concepts during your studies/part-time jobs or already have broad knowledge.
• You have at least initial practical experience in text analytics/natural language processing - preferably also in the context of (university) projects.
• You speak SQL, Python and/or R and use these skills profitably in projects. Your plus: You already have experience with data mining tools like KNIME, RapidMiner or Alteryx.
• You preferably have initial experience with Tableau or Power BI. Otherwise, you will learn with us.
• You have very good German and English skills (both C1 level) and apply them confidently.
• You work in a solution-oriented manner and keep an overview of parallel projects.
