About the Delivery Team
EY advances innovation in Physical AI by enabling regional robotics labs and supporting business-driven initiatives. The focus is on practical Physical AI technologies and framework that deliver measurable, enterprise-value level benefits.
Next Frontier’s Physical AI team is led by Youngjun Choi, EY Global Robotics and Physical AI Leader.
Position Summary
An Innovation Product Manager serves as a strategic conduit for Next Frontier’s Physical AI team, collaborating with Physical AI leaders, regional lab leaders, client account teams, and external ecosystem partners. This role is pivotal in helping the Physical AI team navigate complex challenges, shape the direction of Physical AI initiatives and projects, and ensure alignment with strategic leadership goals.
Essential Responsibilities
Project Management Leadership:
- Own all funded and in scope Physical AI investments/projects, to ensure successful execution against milestones. Report wins and risks to senior leadership in a timely manner.
- Manage cross-functional, regional and global teams, overseeing dependencies to ensure project execution across SLs and Super Regions within EY, as well as with client account teams.
Customer-Centric Innovation and Product Leadership:
- Drive Physical AI innovation through trend scouting, ideation, and incubation of new approaches, bringing in innovative capabilities within the workstream.
- Lead the ideation and incubation journey of new product ideas and use cases by facilitating or managing ideation sessions with stakeholders.
- Identify customer needs and challenges, identifying requirements and scoping business priorities for new or existing Physical AI capabilities.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Guide and manage teams, including engineers and designers, to evolve technical proofs of concept, ensuring desirability, viability, and technology feasibility.
- Foster a culture of thought leadership, asset reuse, innovation and creativity within the team, sustaining delivery outcomes and encouraging continuous learning.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with regional Physical AI Lab leaders to nurture a strong alliance of labs, to meet EY’s clients on their custom Physical AI journey.
- Build and leverage stakeholder relationships from various time-zones and regions through remote, with a willingness to travel to meet business teams, leaders and clients, to ensure effective collaboration.
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
- Assess trends and technologies for relevance and viability in the context of innovative initiatives in the Physical AI workstream.
- Ensure adherence to processes and protocols throughout the project lifecycle, including governance and compliance e.g., EY Finance and Ops, Resource Management etc.
- Ability to make decisions for high performing teams based on data, with an agile and entrepreneurial mindset, to advance concepts rapidly.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- Robotics and Physical AI literacy. Expertise in managing AI/Gen AI products is a plus, as it is augmented in the Physical AI domain.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse global audiences.
- Knowledge as well as the ability to strengthen/acquire new knowledge and capabilities to keep up with the continuously evolving technology landscape
- Proven ability to manage high-performing teams and engage stakeholders across various cultures and time zones.
- Experience in interactions with senior leaders and C-level management, would be advantageous
Education & Experience
- Graduate/Post-Graduate in Technology/Management based specialization.
- At least 5+ years in product management/project/program management and delivery, specifically in technology-driven environments.
