Responsibilities

• Technical control of the externally operated private cloud, administration of virtual machines (patching, backup & monitoring), communication with hosting partners, and ensuring the availability of business-critical systems
• Operation and further development of the network infrastructure in Cuxhaven and Bremerhaven (switching, WLAN, VLAN & VPN), including analysis and optimization of the firewall setup
• Implementation of security measures and securing of infrastructure and access structures
• Analysis and resolution of complex disturbances (e.g., related to network, IaaS & firewall)
• Operation and further development of Microsoft cloud services (including SharePoint, Azure, Purview & Copilot)

Requirements

• Several years of experience in Windows Server and VM administration, confident handling of patching, backup/recovery, monitoring, and basic security
• Sound knowledge of switching, VLAN, routing, WLAN, and firewall concepts (rule sets, NAT, VPN & segmentation)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Defender, practical implementation of Microsoft Purview Policies (e.g., Sensitivity Labels, DLP, Retention) & in Entra ID/M365 Security
• Ability to analyze complex disturbances & strong problem-solving skills
• Strong hands-on mentality & pragmatism
• Good German and English skills, both written and spoken
