About the role

We are seeking a skilled IT Service Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Azure to support and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role is responsible for ensuring system reliability, resolving technical issues, and optimizing performance across cloud and on-prem environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, monitor, and support Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, and storage
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for infrastructure, application, and service-related issues
  • Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions
  • Assist with Azure deployments, configurations, and migrations
  • Maintain system security, access controls, and compliance within Azure environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and reliability
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles
  • Support automation efforts using scripting tools (PowerShell, Azure CLI, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems engineering, or cloud operations
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (VMs, Azure AD, networking, storage, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows/Linux environments
  • Experience with monitoring tools and incident management processes
  • Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate)
  • Experience with Office 365 and Active Directory
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)
  • Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices
