Role

In this role, as an information and communication systems specialist, you will design the complete ICT infrastructure and ensure the stable operation of demanding environments. You will take responsibility for highly available ICT solutions for customers from various industries and ensure that systems run reliably, performantly, and securely. With your in-depth know-how, you will analyze and optimize existing environments and implement new solutions independently and in a structured manner. Through your forward-thinking approach, you will make a significant contribution to avoiding disruptions and ensuring consistently high service quality. With your commitment, you will make a direct contribution to the satisfaction and success of the customers.

Responsibilities

• You plan and realize ICT infrastructure projects in the SME environment from analysis to commissioning.
• In this role, you conceptualize and implement network, firewall, and security solutions.
• As a System Engineer, you work in detail with switching, routing, VPN, VLANs, and classic IP protocols.
• You operate and further develop server, storage, and virtualization environments as well as cloud and hybrid scenarios (Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware).
• In this role, you support and optimize modern VoIP and communication solutions and ensure the seamless interaction of telephony, network, firewall, and site networking.
• You analyze complex disruptions in 2nd and 3rd level support, advise customers at eye level, and document your work for the shared knowledge base within the team.

Qualifications

• Completed training as an IT specialist EFZ, ideally with a specialization in system technology (platforms & infrastructure)
• Several years of practical experience as a System Engineer in the ICT environment, preferably with an IT service provider
• In-depth know-how in IP networks, routing, switching, VLANs, and VPN, as well as in firewall and security solutions
• Very good experience with server, storage, and virtualization environments, as well as with Microsoft 365 and Azure
• Knowledge of VoIP and communication solutions, as well as further training in the ICT sector (e.g., federal certificate or HF), are advantageous
• Strong analytical thinking, independent and structured way of working, as well as strong communication skills in dealing with customers and in the team
• Fluent in German
