Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the operation, administration, and further development of the storage infrastructure, including NetApp storage systems (ONTAP, Clustered ONTAP), Ceph storage clusters, and object storage solutions (e.g., S3-compatible).
• You will analyze, classify, and resolve system malfunctions and performance issues, thereby supporting the assurance of high availability, data security, and compliance.
• Furthermore, you will be responsible for optimizing and automating existing technologies and processes, using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Global collaboration within the service area as a technical point of contact for internal specialist departments and national and international customers is also part of your responsibilities.
• You will develop new concepts and technologies in the storage area – from the idea to successful implementation (capacity planning, performance analysis, and optimization).
• After appropriate training and gaining experience, you will support the planning, management, and realization of technical projects and requirements.

Qualifications

• You have experience in the administration of IT system landscapes, ideally with a focus on storage systems (File, Block, Object).
• You possess a completed IT education, an IT degree, or a comparable qualification.
• Ideally, you already have experience in scripting (e.g., Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
• You communicate confidently in German and English, both written and spoken.
• You are willing to work in shifts.
• An independent way of working, as well as teamwork and analytical skills, characterize you.
• This position involves security-relevant activities. A security check according to the Security Screening Act (Level Ü2) is required.
• Suitability for the security check will be assessed during the selection process.
• For this purpose, you must disclose your nationalities and certain foreign connections in accordance with § 13 of the Security Screening Act.
