Role:

We are looking for an Android Developer with 1 year of experience who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of applications across a wide range of Android devices. Your primary focus will be to build high-quality Android applications and integrate them with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers on different layers of the infrastructure, requiring strong collaboration, problem-solving skills, and attention to clean, maintainable design.

Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Android applications for different device types and versions. • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. • Maintain and enhance existing applications by fixing bugs, improving performance, and adding new features. • Collaborate with backend developers for API integration. • Debug, test, and optimize applications to ensure performance and quality. • Work with designers, QA, and other team members to deliver high-quality features. • Stay updated with the latest Android tools, frameworks, and best practices.

Required Skills • Strong knowledge of Java, Kotlin and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. • Hands-on experience in Android development (Activities, Fragments, Services, Broadcast Receivers, Intents, XML layouts). • Good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). • Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON data handling. • Familiarity with Android Studio and Gradle. • Knowledge of Version Control (Git, Bitbucket). • Experience with third-party libraries (e.g., Retrofit) • Experience in Google Play Console (app publishing, updates, crash reports, and release management).

Good to Have • Exposure to working with SDKs and integrating them into applications. • Familiarity with Jira or similar issue/ project tracking tools. • Familiarity with Firebase services (Authentication, Realtime Database, Push Notifications, etc.). • Understanding of Material Design principles. • Knowledge of MVVM architecture (ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, etc.).

Eligibility • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. • 1 year of relevant work experience in Android development.
