Junior Blockchain Developer

Our client, a dynamic cryptocurrency startup based in Lokoja, Kogi, NG , is looking for a passionate Junior Blockchain Developer to join their innovative team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge blockchain technologies and contribute to the development of groundbreaking decentralized applications (dApps). You will work closely with senior developers, contributing to the design, implementation, and testing of smart contracts, blockchain protocols, and related software. Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and secure code in languages such as Solidity, Go, or Rust; participating in code reviews; debugging and troubleshooting blockchain network issues; and assisting in the research and development of new blockchain features and functionalities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including distributed ledger technology, consensus mechanisms, and cryptography. Familiarity with at least one major blockchain platform (e.g., Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon) is highly desirable. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred. You should possess strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. While this role is primarily based in Lokoja, Kogi, NG , a hybrid work model is available, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work to foster flexibility and productivity.
