Introduction The Junior Business Analyst – BI supports the evolution of the business reporting suite, translating complex data into actionable insights. This role acts as a bridge between raw data and executive decision-making, ensuring that reporting tools stimulate discussion and drive strategic investment across the organization. Duties & Responsibilities Business Intelligence & Reporting
• Insight Delivery: Manage the end-to-end distribution of daily/weekly sales trackers, performance cubes, and monthly returns analysis.
• Target Architecture: Calculate and maintain Principal targets across regions, stores, and SKUs, ensuring accurate uploads to reporting systems.
• Ad-Hoc Analysis: Execute specialized data requests and "Depth of Distribution" reports within strict SLAs.
• Month-End Close: Refresh and distribute stakeholder rebates, service level reports, and master Principal files.
Master Data & System Integrity
• Governance: Maintain Customer and Material Master Data in SAP; enforce process compliance for market segments and volume ranking (ABCD).
• Salesforce Optimization: Own the integrity of call cycles and sales force hierarchies, performing regular data cleansing and record maintenance.
• Discrepancy Investigation: Partner with IT to map, trace, and resolve data conflicts across multiple system touchpoints.
Business Change & Risk Control
• Investment Support: Provide data testing and recommendations for preliminary business cases to support new investments and change initiatives.
• Security Management: Administer Power BI Workspaces, managing user roles, security groups, and onboarding training for stakeholders.
• Data Security: Ensure strict confidentiality and secure data transmission protocols are followed at all times.
Functional Coordination
• Process Enablement: Identify ongoing business needs and evaluate internal systems for efficiencies or inaccuracies.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Manage expectations between Senior Management, Trade Marketing, and external service providers.
Desired Experience & Qualification
• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in sales systems, data analysis, or a BI-related environment.
• Education: Matric; National Diploma in Sales Management or Business (BCom or equivalent preferred).
• Technical Skills:
• Data Mining: Expert use of Pivot Tables and data mapping tools.
• Systems: Proficiency in SAP, Salesforce, and Power BI.
• Analytics: Ability to process large volumes of raw data into normalized, clean datasets.
• Core Competencies:
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to data integrity.
• Ability to translate technical data into clear business insights for all organizational levels.
Experience navigating or managing Power BI (PBI) Workspaces.
