Junior Data Scientist

People Talent has partnered with a financial services company with an entrepreneurial and innovative view. They are looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join the team to help deliver accurate, scalable, and impactful reporting and analytical insights.

The Role

• Write and improve SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse data within Microsoft Fabric.
• Build and maintain clear, user-friendly dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Develop and support Python data pipelines, automation, and analysis tools.
• Support the development of forecasting, segmentation, and statistical models where needed.

The Candidate

• Confident using SQL to write advanced queries for extracting, transforming, and analysing data.
• Experience using Python to support automation and data-related processes.
• Skilled in developing Power BI dashboards and reports, including the use of DAX and data modelling techniques.
• Understanding of Microsoft Fabric or other modern cloud data platforms such as Azure Synapse or Databricks.
• Strong grasp of core statistical concepts and analytical methods.

The Package

• Base Salary: up to £40,000
