Junior Data Scientist - Machine Learning

Our client is actively seeking a motivated and talented Junior Data Scientist with a specialization in Machine Learning to join their innovative team. The role focuses on leveraging advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets, driving data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Key responsibilities include: Developing, training, and evaluating machine learning models for various applications. Performing data mining and exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends. Cleaning, transforming, and preparing large datasets for analysis and modeling. Implementing algorithms and statistical models using programming languages such as Python or R. Collaborating with data engineers to build and optimize data pipelines. Visualizing data and model results to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Assisting in the deployment of machine learning models into production environments. Staying current with the latest advancements in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science. Contributing to the design and execution of A/B tests and other experiments. Documenting methodologies, code, and findings thoroughly. Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback. Identifying opportunities to apply machine learning to solve business problems. Supporting senior data scientists on complex projects. Assisting in the development of predictive analytics and forecasting models. Staying informed about data privacy and security best practices. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Prior internship or project experience in data science or machine learning is highly desirable. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) or R is essential. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus. Strong understanding of statistical concepts and algorithms is required. Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen analytical mindset are mandatory. The ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment is critical. This is a remote-first role, requiring excellent communication and self-management skills.
