Lead AI Engineer - Machine Learning

Our client is seeking a visionary Lead AI Engineer with a passion for Machine Learning to drive innovation in Makurdi, Benue, NG . Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced machine learning models. Architect and build scalable, end-to-end AI solutions from prototype to production. Mentor and guide junior AI engineers and data scientists. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI/ML integration. Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for model training and inference. Stay current with the latest research and trends in AI, ML, and deep learning. Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance our AI capabilities. Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of deployed AI systems. Contribute to the overall technical vision and roadmap for AI initiatives. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in AI/ML development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Expertise in Python and major ML libraries/frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
