Lead AI Engineer - Machine Learning Models

Our client, a cutting-edge technology firm at the forefront of AI innovation, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead AI Engineer specializing in Machine Learning Models. This fully remote position offers a unique opportunity to lead the development and deployment of advanced AI solutions that solve complex real-world problems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing machine learning algorithms, managing AI projects from conception to production, and mentoring a team of talented AI engineers. The role demands a deep understanding of ML frameworks, statistical modeling, data science principles, and a proven ability to translate business needs into scalable AI systems. Collaboration will be key, working virtually with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers.

Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of machine learning models and AI systems. Oversee the entire ML lifecycle, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment. Develop and apply state-of-the-art ML algorithms for tasks such as prediction, classification, natural language processing, and computer vision. Manage AI projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Mentor and guide junior AI engineers and data scientists. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Optimize model performance for scalability, efficiency, and accuracy. Research and stay updated on the latest advancements in AI, ML, and deep learning. Contribute to the development of AI best practices and architectural patterns. Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance AI capabilities. Ensure the responsible and ethical development and deployment of AI systems. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying machine learning models. Proven experience leading AI/ML projects and teams. Strong expertise in ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or Java. Deep understanding of statistical modeling, data mining, and deep learning techniques. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for ML workloads. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience with data visualization tools and techniques. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first work environment.
