About the role
Our client is seeking a visionary and experienced Lead AI & Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead their initiatives in cutting-edge artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions in Warri, Delta, NG . This senior role will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying advanced ML models and AI-powered applications that drive innovation and provide significant business value. You will lead a team of talented engineers and data scientists, fostering a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment. The Lead AI & Machine Learning Engineer will also be responsible for researching emerging AI technologies, evaluating new tools and methodologies, and mentoring junior team members. A strong background in data engineering, big data technologies, and cloud platforms is essential. You must be adept at translating complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team lead role. Proven expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning) using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java. Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Solid understanding of MLOps principles and practices for deploying and managing ML models in production. Experience with data engineering, data pipelines, and feature stores. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of mentoring engineers. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
