Lead AI Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of AI-native software engineering specialists and test automation engineers
• Define and drive the strategy for AI-driven software development — setting engineering standards, maturity targets, and adoption roadmaps
• Lead the people transformation: evolve developer roles, team structures, processes, and ways of working to unlock the full potential of AI-augmented software engineering
• Establish governance and quality frameworks for AI-assisted development, covering security, compliance, and code review practices
• Design and deliver the change management programme to build capability and accelerate adoption across engineering teams in Switzerland, Spain, Poland, and India
• Measure and communicate transformation impact through productivity metrics, delivery speed improvements, and engineering maturity assessments

Qualifications

• Large-scale engineering transformation — has personally led a programme that changed how hundreds of engineers work, not just advised on one
• AI-powered development tools — hands-on experience with AI-native dev tooling (Claude Code, Copilot, agentic workflows) — not just awareness
• Modern SDLC & DevSecOps — deep practical knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, SAFe, and security/compliance governance in complex environments
• Leadership in international, matrixed organisations — managed or influenced engineering teams across multiple countries and cultures
• Banking or financial services background — 4–6 years minimum; understands the regulatory and compliance constraints that shape every decision
• Change management & stakeholder communication — can present to executives, inspire engineers on the floor, and drive adoption without authority
