Position Overview
We are searching for a skilled and experienced Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer to empower teams and provision secure, scalable cloud services. In this role, you'll focus on optimizing system performance, implementing stringent security measures, and ensuring operational reliability across diverse cloud environments. As a key member of a multi‑cloud team, you'll work within an Agile scrum environment and possess a strong command of various development tools and technologies. Your collaboration with application teams, SRE/DevOps, security, and networking will be crucial in delivering resilient workloads and accelerating delivery through CI/CD methods. We seek engineers with a proactive approach to solving complex problems through innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating organizational technical requirements and proposing effective cloud solutions.
- Collaborating with development teams to design and implement cloud solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Setting up least‑privilege IAM, role‑based access, and just‑in‑time elevation procedures for administrative tasks.
- Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation) for standardized provisioning of VPC/VNet, subnets, gateways, compute resources, storage, managed databases, messaging, and IAM roles.
- Implementing service enablement strategies to expedite team onboarding.
- Staying current with industry trends and emerging cloud technologies.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or a related role.
- 5+ years of proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP) with a strong grasp of core services (compute, storage, networking, identity).
- Experience with service catalogs (AWS Service Catalog, Azure Blueprints/Policy + DevOps Templates, GCP Catalog) and account/subscription management.
- Familiarity with Policy as Code (OPA/Gatekeeper/Conftest), pre‑commit hooks, and compliance automation.
- Hands‑on experience with Serverless technologies (Lambda, Azure Functions, Cloud Functions) and event‑driven architectures.
- Exposure to various data services (RDS/SQL MI/Cloud SQL, Redis/Cache, messaging/queues like SQS/Service Bus/Pub/Sub, streaming like Kafka/Kinesis/Event Hubs).
- Understanding of CNAPP/CSPM and/or cloud‑native security tools (Defender for Cloud, Security Command Center, AWS Security Hub/GuardDuty).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on an Agile team is advantageous.
- Support for Open‑Source Network projects is a plus.
- Azure certifications: AZ 104 (Administrator), AZ 305 (Architect), AZ 400 (DevOps).
- AWS certifications: Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional), SysOps Administrator, Developer Associate.
- GCP certifications: Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect/DevOps Engineer.
- Kubernetes certifications: CKA/CKAD.
Security Clearance Requirement
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance minimum; must be willing to be upgraded to TS/SCI with Poly.
Compensation
In compliance with local laws, Accenture Federal Services provides compensation ranges based on labor costs in various states, including California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is $111,800‑$221,800 USD. Compensation may vary based on factors such as location, role, skills, and experience level.
