At Cardinal Health, the Data & Analytics Function is vital in overseeing the entire analytics life-cycle. We manage analytics data platforms, facilitate the design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and leverage advanced quantitative modeling.
The Data Analytics team integrates business process knowledge with data analytics to deliver timely, accurate, relevant, and actionable insights, supporting key business decisions and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead evaluations of finance systems and operational workflows to uncover inefficiencies, driving scalable, measurable improvements.
- Utilize your finance/accounting expertise to transform ambiguous business needs into clear problem statements and actionable recommendations.
- Spearhead significant analytics projects that yield measurable ROI, using tools like Looker, Tableau, and GCP BigQuery to develop scalable reporting solutions.
- Leverage your deep expertise in analytical concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage and direct a diverse portfolio of impactful cross-functional projects.
- Define methodologies and frameworks for tackling new and uncertain projects, ensuring clarity and rigor throughout.
- Take the lead in gathering business requirements, engaging stakeholders, clarifying needs, and overseeing the entire project lifecycle from analysis to testing.
- Continuously enhance your domain expertise by learning about new business processes, technologies, tools, and data platforms to improve solution quality and accelerate delivery.
- Effectively communicate complex findings using clear storytelling techniques appropriate for varied audiences, proactively highlighting risks, trends, and valuable insights for business leaders.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to build strong relationships, ensuring solutions meet functional requirements while maintaining technical accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct advanced exploratory data analysis with strong SQL skills to validate hypotheses, identify root causes, and distill complex insights that inform business decisions.
- Work with Data Engineering teams to design data models that ensure consistency in metric definitions, enabling standardized enterprise reporting.
- Assume accountability for end-to-end solutions, understanding code logic, validating functionality, and ensuring that outputs align with business expectations.
- Contribute to and shape the development of policies, standards, and procedures that advance organizational goals and promote operational excellence.
- Identify areas for improvement and propose new practices, scalable processes, KPIs, and analytical models that elevate decision-making and enhance business performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong experience in data analysis using SQL and Python for data modeling in GCP (BigQuery, BigTable, AtScale), along with skills in data visualization tools preferred.
- Proficient in creating basic SQL queries, stored procedures, and similar tasks preferred.
- Experience utilizing data visualization tools such as Tableau and Looker preferred.
- Background in healthcare and finance analytics preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills preferred.
- Experience in Agile methodologies preferred.

Compensation
Expected salary range is $105,100 to $150,100, with bonus eligibility.
