We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our growing team in Aachen. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala).
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with data modeling and database design.
