Lead Data Scientist / Engagement Lead

About Our Client

Our client is a specialist AI solutions provider with deep roots in the credit industry, helping insurers, lenders, asset managers, and credit bureaus make smarter, faster, and more informed decisions. Their solutions span the full credit lifecycle from data extraction and explainable credit scoring to automated underwriting and capital simulation delivering efficiency, scale, and insight.

They are seeking a commercially minded and technically strong professional to operate at the intersection of data science delivery and client engagement.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end solution delivery across multiple client projects
• Acting as brigde between clients, stakeholdersand technical teams,translating business requirements into technical solutions/requirements
• Guide and support technical teams (design decisions, code reviews)
• Manage stakeholder relationships and present insights clearly
• Ensure high-quality, consistency across project deliverables, from initial concept to final implementation

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements:

• 5+ years in Data Science / ML / Software Engineering (incl. 2+ years in consulting/leadership - none negotiable)
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience as well as presentation skills
• Proven delivery within financial services or data-driven environments
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with practical experience across the model / software development cycle
• Cloud platforms exposure (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure accepted) and modern data tooling
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to lead through ambiguity
